In-person Salons return to NNV!

Northwest Neighbors Village is thrilled to announce the re-introduction of its salon conversation series.  Each salon is held in a private home, with attendance limited to 8-10 people.  Refreshments are served.  Each “seat” is $75.00 and is fully tax-deductible. Be engaged, be curious, be enthralled.

Conversation and Brunch with MT Connolly

Join us for this very special salon with guest MT Connolly, a leading national expert on elder justice, a MacArthur “genius” grant awardee, and author of the 2023 book, The Measure of Our Age: Navigating Care, Safety, Money, and Meaning Later in Life. We are living longer than ever before but are unprepared for longevity’s challenges. In her book, MT Connolly offers a new map of aging, one that helps us navigate its practical challenges and fragmented systems, while also showing how long lives can bring unprecedented growth, transformation, and joy.

Conversation and Brunch with Ben Ginsberg

Crystal Balling the November Elections 16 Days Out - With the pivotal November elections just 16 days away, we’ll look at the state of the races for the White House and control of the US Senate and House. Mr. Ginsberg, who represented candidates and political parties during his legal career, will discuss how the campaigns are viewing the election. While every election is called “the most important of our lifetimes,” the 2024 election actually might be, given the very stark differences between the two parties’ candidates and visions. We’ll also look at what can happen in the weeks after Election Day and the impact that can have on the ability of the winner to govern, the peaceful transfer of power and ways we as citizens might work to restore overall faith in the outcome of elections.
