Help NNV Be a Visible Member of the Community!

By:
Stephanie Chong

Northwest Neighbors Village has established several working groups to advance our mission and support our members. The Community Outreach Group focuses on making NNV a good neighbor to the many businesses and other organizations in our area. Good partnerships raise NNV’s visibility, create community awareness of our Village, and promote neighborhood businesses to our members!

This group of NNV members and volunteers focuses on:

  1. Building mutually supportive relationships with local restaurants, bookstores, toy stores, realtors, etc.
  2. Highlighting local businesses and groups in our Virtual Speakers Series
  3. Working with the local Main Street organizations in Van Ness, Tenleytown and Chevy Chase to learn about their concerns and let them know about NNV and issues that affect older adults
  4. Sharing information about NNV activities with local listservs and other outlets

How You Can Help

We are looking for volunteers to join us in reaching out to local businesses and organizations to explore partnerships with NNV, whether to host an event, sponsor a luncheon or dinner, speak to an audience about their mission, advertise in our newsletter, or many other options. Your participation can make an incredible difference in advancing NNV’s presence in the community!

If you are interested, please contact the office at schong@nnvdc.org or call 202-935-6060.
