NNV volunteers offer direct services that are critical to helping our members meet basic needs and remain engaged and connected to their community. Did you know that volunteers are also carrying out work essential to fulfill our mission?
There are many tasks that must be completed to keep Northwest Neighbors Village running. To keep all these tasks moving forward, NNV has five working groups composed of board members and other volunteers from our community. The working groups support and supplement our hard-working staff, and are responsible for enhancements to NNV’s programs and services, including addressing diversity, equity and inclusion in our Village, gatherings for new members, new in-person programming, outreach to the local business community, and our annual Tickets for a Cause fundraiser.
Through a centrally-coordinated, local network of screened volunteers and vetted professional providers, Northwest Neighbors Village offers its members transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping assistance, home repairs and handyman help, computer and technology assistance, access to social and cultural activities and more.
