Since 2009, Northwest Neighbors Village has been building a generous and supportive community where all older adults can thrive. We have grown from a handful of committed neighbors to our current membership of nearly 300 individuals and 150 volunteers! Today, over 3,000 community members rely on NNV as a trusted resource. As the year comes to a close, we have much to celebrate – a robust calendar of events, thousands of hours of volunteer services, a successful celebrity event featuring Adam Gopnik of the New Yorker, and most importantly YOU!
NNV members and volunteers are the heart of our Village. You influence and support the programs and services we offer. You build friendships and look out for one another. And you remind us that kindness and genuine concern for your neighbors is still very much alive.
Please join us at our annual Holiday Party on Friday, December 12th from 12-2 at Meadowbrook Park. We'll provide the ham, turkey, and drinks and you bring the rest. This is a chance to share your favorite holiday dish or dessert with your community. Please include a list of allergens like wheat, nuts, and dairy so everyone can enjoy safely. Full Members are encouraged to request rides by Tuesday, December 9th. Please contact the office if you need a ride at 202-935-6060 or info@nnvdc.org. Click here to RSVP.
And don't forget to submit your recommendation for Volunteer of the Year. We have so many exceptional volunteers. This is your chance to let them know how much you appreciate them. You can nominate as many volunteers as you'd like by contacting the office at 202-935-6060 or info@nnvdc.org.
See you at the party!
P.S. Our annual end of year Fundraising campaign is in full swing. If you haven't had a chance to donate yet, there is still time! Click here to donate - it only takes a couple of minutes.
