From Lincoln Center to NNV – Adam Gopnik's New York is a Must-See!

For one night only, award winning New Yorker writer and best-selling author, Adam Gopnik will bring his one-man show, Adam Gopnik's New York, to Washington, DC. You may know Adam as a writer whose pieces piqued your interest in subjects that you weren't yet aware you were interested in. Now Adam brings his talent for storytelling to the stage.

After a run at New York City's Lincoln Center, Adam Gopnik will perform in DC as a benefit for Northwest Neighbors Village (NNV). Join us on the evening of Saturday, November 8th to watch Adam share his city and life experience as only he can.

This is a performance you won't want to miss! Ticket sales directly support NNV's programs and services. This is your opportunity to delight in Adam's engaging performance, and enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that your purchase will strengthen your community and enrich the aging experience for your older neighbors.

Location: St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 4900 Connecticut Avenue, NW

The evening's schedule:

  • Doors open at 6 pm
  • Enjoy wine and light appetizers until 7:15pm
  • Performance 7:30 - 9 pm

Parking:Street Parking is available.Accessibility:Wheelchair accessible.Ticket Prices:Regular Admission - $100 per person, drop in for wine and cheese between 6-7 pm and enjoy the show at 7:30 pm.($85 of the ticket purchase is tax deductible)VIP Pass - $250 per person, you and a small group of 25 people will enjoy a one hour chat with Adam over wine and cheese at 6 pm and receive a signed book($215 of the ticket purchase is tax deductible)Book Sales:Politics and Prose will be onsite to sell three of Adam's books: The Real Work: The Mystery of Mastery, which is his most recent book, Through the Children's Gate: A Home in New York, and At the Stranger's Gate: Arrivals in New York. The last two are the basis for his performance.
