Did you know that Northwest Neighbors Village waives our membership fee for older neighbors with low income? Doing so has been critical in breaking barriers to access the services and programs that enable our members to remain connected and engaged to our community.
Today over 50% of our members who receive volunteer services now have their membership fees fully waived. More importantly all of our members benefit from the social connections, practical help, and professional support Northwest Neighbors Village provides. In the four years we have offered waived fee memberships, NNV has provided over $90,000 in member scholarships. This is all possible thanks to your generosity.
Next week, Northwest Neighbors Village will host our annual campaign to raise funds for our Membership Scholarship Fund. Over a three-day period, from July 22nd to July 24th, our Village seeks to raise $20,000 to support our members with low-income. This ambitious goal is attainable with the help of generous donors like you!
Thanks to an anonymous donor, all gifts of up to $10,000 will be matched dollar for dollar during the campaign. Your gift will go twice as far in helping your older neighbors stay engaged and connected regardless of their ability to pay.
New this year, make a pledge to contribute to our Membership Scholarship Campaign. This is your chance to pledge your donation amount and pay by credit card or check during the campaign. This is a great option for those of you who will be traveling or busy next week, and want to support our important work and take advantage of our matching gift. To make a pledge, simply contact me at schong@nnvdc.org or call 202-935-6060.
Please be on the lookout next week for information on how you can support your neighbors through this important campaign. If you have any questions or need assistance making your donation, please feel free to reach out to our office at info@nnvdc.org or call 202-935-6060.
Thank you in advance for your generous support!
