Nature is good for the soul!

By:

The term forest bathing emerged in Japan.  Shinrin-yoku (“forest bathing” or “taking in the forest atmosphere”) offers an antidote to technology and the daily pace of life, and an opportunity to reconnect with and protect our environment. While being out in nature is not always possible, looking at images of the outdoors can be beneficial.

Studies show that looking at nature scenes reduces stress levels. I personally find satisfaction in looking at photos from past hikes and nature walks - even photos of flowers and animals in my backyard bring me joy! So, this week I have decided to share my love of the outdoors with you. I hope you enjoy some of my favorite photos from my interactions with nature and invite you to share your photos and experiences with us by emailing info@nnvdc.org.
